Hallows Eve

I don't know about you but the colors Orange and Black are not the most appealing to me! I have not done a Halloween Wedding yet, but I think it would be a cool one to do. I am sure when you think of a Halloween wedding you think of the bride in black, pumpkin centerpieces, and spider webs adorning the tables. Think again here are two inspritaion boards I put together for the Halloween loving brides! These colors are great if you want to achieve that gothic Halloween vibe, but still be elegant about it.

Pimp my Eye

I was coordinating a wedding this past Friday and came across a guest who had pretty eyeshadow on. I complemented her on it and she took out her little secret from her purse. Maybelline has a line of eyeshadow's that tell you step by step on how to achieve the "Smokey Eye" look. I am make-up challenged and think I am cool by just sweeping a color across my lid. Whats even worse is that two of my friends are former Pro M.A.C makeup artists who have more glamourous eye shadow on when they wake up then when I go out! So here is the quick and easy steps to achieving pretty eye shadow

Maybelline has these compacts that come with different colors. Some are meant for brown eyes, blue, hazel, etc. Being that I was so amazed by this I also discovered that Bare Escentuals has a similar idea

Look out world...Here come me and my new eyelids!!

Gone with the Veil

Working as a wedding planner it has become apparent that tradition....is OUT the window! Anything goes now a days and one of things I have seen change is the veil. There are many versions of a wedding veil now and many other head piece options besides a veil. Now don't get me wrong, many brides are still rocking that tradition and I was one of them.

I am a headband fanatic! I have a lot of them and there are perfect for the days when your hair just isn't falling right. Here are some wedding inspired headbands that would be the perfect alternative to a veil

Images taken from Etsy.com, trashties.com, bridalfashionmall.com, & amountainbride.blogspot.com.

There is also the brides that are wearing a wedding veil, but adding some spice to it with these gorgeous trends:
My friend Elissa wore a Birdcage Veil with an attached floral/feather piece. Once the ceremony was over she was able to take off the veil and keep the floral piece. It was such a classic look.

Who can forget the wedding scene of Carrie and Big in Sex and the City? She took a wedding veil and made it funky by adding a featherd bird on the side of her head. You can modify this look with ostrich feathers, peacock feather, or a butterfly.

Trick or Treat

Halloween is the one time of year where you can be anything you are not. Once I accomplish one costume, I start thinking of next years costume! I always con Antwone into dressing up with me every year. He acts like he doesn't like it, but deep down inside I think he has fun!

Sarah Palin and Barack Obama

Harry and Harryieta Potter

Beer Keg and Beer Garden Girl

I think I stopped Trick or Treating when I was an 8th grade. I was shopping at Target and saw this and it made want to start it up again:

Seriously, where was this when I was younger. I always used a cheap old pillow case! Is it weird that I wanted to buy it and save it for my unborn daughter?
HA HA HA =)

Fall Fever

My favorite time of year is here! There is nothing better than cooler weather, boots, pumpkin flavored everything, and all of the good holidays around the corner. I have been crazy busy with weddings. October has been one busy month, but has been a great experience. Me and Antwone are creeping up on our 1 year anniversary and we are taking a trip to either San Francisco or Sedona...TBD.
I was on this funny website that showcased all these amazingly carved pumpkins. I am not a good carver nor do I enjoy the clean up pumpkin guts! Here are two pumpkins that caught my eye

The Hello Kitty one is the best but the Twilight one is so intricate. I still need to make a trip to a pumpking patch so I can find a pumpkin to paint.

This time of year I try and soak in all of the pumpkin products I can get my hands on. Her are some of my must haves for Fall:

Pumpkin Spice Muffin flavored lip gloss by Philosophy sold at Sephora

Pumpkin Spice Latte's from Starbucks

Pumpkin Scones

Pumpkin Scented Candles

Happy Pumpkin Shopping!!!
